Japanese skin care brand SK-II brigns a crystal cclarity to women's faces

SK-II THAILAND recently celebrated its 35th anniversary with a temporary exhibition titled “Change Destiny Museum” and the news that it had made a breakthrough discovery on the connection between the skin’s DNA and crystal clear skin. The company also unveiled the new face of SK-II Thailand, Vatanika Patamasingh na Ayudhya, who joins the ranks of brand ambassadors, Sopidnapa Chumpani and Suquan Bulakul.
According to SK-II researchers, genetics have only a 20 to 30-per-cent impact on current skin condition – a finding that has provided fresh inspiration for the Japanese brand’s new global campaign, the aptly titled “Pursuing Beauty Beyond Destiny”. This campaign aims to send the message to women everywhere that SK-II’s facial treatment essence, with the signature ingredient, Pitera, is the key to achieving moist, firm and refined skin.
SK-II chief executive Markus Strobel spoke at the event about the brand’s vision to help women and men around the world change their skin destiny.
“For more than 35 years, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to deliver the miracle of crystal clear skin to women and men around the world. From our very first bottle of Facial Treatment Essence to our latest innovation in our Whitening product line, SK-II has always prided itself on delivering beauty breakthroughs that shape not only the beauty landscape, but the destiny and future of women’s skin. Our latest research on the connection between the skin’s DNA and crystal clear skin has revealed that genetics only have a small impact. Long term users of SK-II prove that it is possible to overcome the risks posed by one’s DNA and to keep skin looking crystal clear even in their 50s. SK-II believes that women have the power to take control of their skin’s future, and change their destiny and we are committed to empowering women with the best beauty tools,” he said.
Thai designer Vatanika, who runs the brand of the same name, embodies the sharp and capable modern woman of today, he added, and her life and outlook align nicely with the campaign.
“This is a good time for SK-II to launch its latest global campaign, close on the heels of International Women’s Day, because SK-II has always been about empowering women to feel good about themselves and to take charge of their own destinies,” said Suquan.
“SK-II believes that self-confidence is an important and powerful asset that enables women to succeed and to realise their own self-worth. Over the past 35 years, SK-II’s researchers and scientists have worked continually to develop their products, researching new technologies to find the best and latest innovations to shake up the beauty market. They work to answer skin care demands and help us to take a well-rounded approach to skin care, because nothing gives you confidence like beautiful skin,” she added.
The brand’s latest product, Auractivator CC cream, provides immediate radiance on the surface of the skin, works on the inner layers to reduce melanin, the cause of dark spots, and uses SPA 50 PA+++++ to protect the skin from future damage.
On the surface of the skin, the product develops an acute optical illusion of fine micro pearl pigments, which diffuse light to create a soft radiant aura. But while the surface of the skin is treated |cosmetically, below the surface SK-II’s unique Soft Aura White Cocktail is busy working its |magic, manipulating light |within the skin and creating |optimal light diffusion.
