Is this the manual Suthep is using?

Re: "When the hubbub dies down, how will history judge Suthep?" Letters, July 30.

I nearly cried when I read JC Wilcox’s poignant letter, portraying Suthep Thaugsuban as a devout patriot who risked his life, dodging a rain of rocket-propelled grenades to save Thailand from ... whatever it was.
Suthep reminds me of Napoleon, the pig in George Orwell’s novella “Animal Farm”. Napoleon is cowardly, shrewd, calculating and selfish. While he leads a revolt against the owner of Manor Farm, he cares more about his own power and benefits than he does about the ideals of his rebellion. My own role in this scenario, meanwhile, would be that of Benjamin, the donkey who remains stubbornly uninspired by the rebellion. He firmly believes that life will remain unpleasant no matter who is in charge.
At the end, Napoleon and the other pigs play poker and drink with the humans, signifying that greed, manipulation and corrupt power have again returned to Thailand. Sorry – I mean Manor Farm.
