Tops celebrates nineteen glorious years
The supermarket marks its birthday with a slap-up meal for its most honoured customers
VIP customers of Tops and celebrities recently celebrated the supermarket’s 19th anniversary with a dinner party, dubbed the “Starry Night of Appreciation”, hosted by the Water Library at Central Embassy.
Alistair Taylor, president of Central Food Retail, led executives in thanking customers with long-standing ties to Tops, among them Natthinee and Natprapa Choon-havan, Nuchanat Raveesangsoon, Praredaa Limpanonda, Jarospan Svasti Na Ayudhya, Tuenchai Pluempraphakorn, Tosaporn Sritula, Pakdiporn Karnasuta, Kanyarat and Chatchai Pladisai, and Orathai Pattanakarun.
The five-course dinner was created by chefs Ian Chalermkittichai, a consultant to the supermarket, and Haikal Johari of the Water Library, while entertainment was provided by artists from “The Voice Thailand” including Plengpraphan “Guitar” Kingtong.
Guests feasted on Foie Gras Parfait, Wild Sea Prawns, a shrimp salad mixed with apple sour cream and avocado, and Canadian Lobster Flan. The Baked Black Cod was prepared with 19 ingredients to celebrate the anniversary, with the chefs carefully selecting the plump white fish and topping it with a spicy herb sauce. The main course was roasted free-range duck breast and the meal ended with Apple Tarte Tatin.
The guests went home happy and sated, no doubt already dreaming of what would be on the menu for the 20th anniversary.
