Poor policing standards invite neighbourhood crime

The article naming Lat Phrao as the No 1 crime-stop, followed by Thonglor, came as no surprise. These could also be viewed as the districts with the poorest policing. The only police presence on my soi is two officers who collect money from the illegal casino around the corner and then disappear again. They would tell you there is a security camera, but they don’t tell you it doesn’t work.
