Re: "Crackdown looms on mafia-style influential figures", National, October 27.
As reported in The Nation, Premier Prayut Chan-o-cha has “issued a six-month deadline for related authorities to rid the country of mafia-style influential figures”. He mentions the police, politicians, soldiers and bureaucrats, but ignores the highly influential business mafia. They all hold hands together. The entire mafia love-in, working in relationship with Thailand’s “brown envelope” infrastructure, feeds an orgy of corruption right across the board. Perhaps the list should be reviewed.
