Let the Koh Tao evidence speak for itself

Let the Koh Tao evidence speak for itself

The most effective way for the Royal Thai Police to convince the world that its investigation of the Koh Tao rape-murders meets international standards is to show us the evidence. It is not enough to merely say, “Trust us.”

For example, show us the original certificate of accreditation from the “non-profit professional association actively involved in forensic science and nationally recognised”, as demanded by the American Bar Association (https://www.americanbar.org/publications/criminal_justice_section_archive/crimjust_standards_dnaevidence.html).
And show us the peer-review report, since “laboratories submitting data to the National DNA Index System must adhere to the FBI Quality Assurance Standards [which] stipulate that all DNA casework be reviewed by a separate analyst.” (http://www.crime-scene-investigator.net/SimplifiedGuideDNA.pdf)
The police must act in accordance with their own advice to suspects: “If you’re innocent, don’t act as if you were guilty. Be transparent about it.”
