Organic produce and delicious snacks are on sale this weekend at Seacon Square

THE BEST of the Thai countryside comes to Bangkok this weekend as Seacon Square joins with Thai Life Insurance for the “Fresh Food From Farms” fair at the shopping centre on Srinakarin Road. 
In addition to buying top quality produce from new-generation and well-known farms, visitors will also have the chance to chat with more than 60 entrepreneurs, participate in DIY workshops offered by the City Organic Agriculture group and also take part in such fun activities as “picking fresh mushrooms and vegetables” and “milking the cow”.
Produce includes organic fruits and vegetables from the centre for the development of organic agriculture standard; vegetables from royal projects and processed fruits by Doi Kham; processed products and fruits from Kamnan Chul Farm; Mah Boon Krong rice; farm equipment from Hydro Hobby; grilled sweet potato and pumpkin by Berrybana; healthy fruit smoothies from Fresh’ C by actor Thakrit “Phet” Tawanpong; lemonade by Lemon Me; legume and mushroom juice by Up Thailand; Homsuwan pineapples; Nucha Farm’s watermelon; Nine Tamarind’s tamarind products; Aunt Chaba’s durian; deep-fried and grilled mushroom (mushroom snacks); Magna Gac juice; and Yumkuza’s Caulerpa racemosa (sea-grape seaweed).
The fresh milk and yoghurt comes from Hokkaido Milk, Dairy Home and Supermilk and there’s fresh milk ice cream by Umm Milk; Me and Ice Cream’s homemade flower-flavoured ice cream plus goat’s milk by Love Goat Milk. 
Visitors can also tuck into soup and salad rolls from Moon Taste by popular TV presenter Pear Pimlada; organic salad by Farmer Fresh; Veganerie’s bakery items fresh mango and sweet shrimp paste dip by Poo Preaw; salmon salad by 9Salmon; French Fries with cheese by I Believe I Can Fry plus Cornflake Caramel Honey Gold’s products.
The fair will also display modern agricultural products and provide knowledge about modern agriculture for urban population. 
Workshops being held over the weekend include “how to prepare soil and surface, and grow plants” and “how to grow bean sprouts” and “how to cultivate earthworms”. All are free but places are limited so book first by going to Seacon Square Facebook Fan Page.
