Shopping online a dog’s breakfast in Thailand
One of the advantages of modern times is Internet shopping, which saves a lot of time, certainly in this period of overcrowded streets and parking places.
One of my dogs needed medicine, so I emailed the biggest online companies in the business in Thailand. After two days one of them, Shamu, replied that it didn’t stock this particular medicine.
The other still hasn’t replied several weeks later, other than to reply the next day saying they would contact me in due time.
After another week I sent it a second email. I got the same answer – we will contact you in due time. It’s now been more than six weeks and still no reply from a shop pretending to be my dog’s buddy!
Since these shops didn’t want my business, I contacted Amazon, which had the desired medicine in stock but wanted a different mailing address because it doesn’t deliver to Thailand. Another search online took me to eBay, but it doesn’t deliver to Thailand either.
Who said shopping on the Internet is comfortable and convenient? Or maybe there’s just something wrong with Thailand.
Finally I was able to fill my order in the US, so the profit from the sale went to the US instead of Thailand.
