Joshua Wong shows exactly why we don’t need the junta
Joshua Wong, the pro-democracy activist detained at Suvarnabhumi Airport and deported back to Hong Kong by the junta, should be held up as a great role model for us Thais.
He has shown how even just one person can make a big difference in changing a political system to promote human rights. Not only that, he is changing the system from within – without the need for military intervention. He thus severely undermines our junta’s claim that democracy will only come if it control politics for the next two decades.
