An administration that fails the country

An administration that fails the country

Re: “The Nation displays an anti-American bias”, Letters, October 7.

The anti-American feeling is not against the American people per se but against the government currently in power that is supported and shielded by a partisan mainstream media. The media is in turn well-funded by globalist financiers intent on achieving a single world government that involves the destruction of individual nation states.
USA society, as in any civilised democratic country, is based on the rule of law. The current regime has blatantly shown total disregard for this fundamental principle in the interests of self-serving political gain. Clearly demonstrated violations of the laws of the land at the very highest level are not simply covered up, but worse, hard facts are blatantly denied. It’s law by lies. It must be fair to say that the most anti-Americanism comes from the American government and institutions.
For the political elite to blame Russian intervention for their own misdemeanours only further discredits Capitol Hill. The so-called “civil war” in Syria is in fact a proxy war on behalf of the USA and Russia. Following the Benghazi debacle in Libya, the USA transferred arms to Syria to arm the rebels attempting the overthrow of Bashar al Assad. Assad, following the overthrow of Saddam Hussein, Hosni Mubarak and Muammar Gaddhafi, became America’s next target for illegal regime change. The American-armed rebels are in fact ISIS.
With the arming of ISIS, the very questionable nuclear agreement with Iran followed with a US$1.7-billion (Bt59.3-billion) cash payment to Iran for hostage releases, it is little wonder that Russian planes are buzzing the American fleet and Iranian navy personnel are humiliating their American counterparts in The Gulf. The White House has shown little respect for the country it is supposed to lead and therefore does not command respect for America.
