Win the US presidency with only 26 per cent of the votes!
Suppose there were 51 states in the US. If you win 51 per cent of the votes in 26 states and no votes in the other 25 states, you get a total of 26 per cent of the votes. But in this case it would be enough to win you the presidency.
This is a result of the “winner-takes-all” rule for each state. In other words, one candidate can lose despite getting 74 per cent of the votes. Nice, huh?
