US electoral college system an outrage
America’s electoral college is an outrage. Although Hillary Clinton may have received anywhere from one million to two million more votes than Donald Trump, she didn’t win the election. Democracy in America is a joke.
The argument for the electoral college is just plain stupid. We’re told that, without it, presidential candidates would only campaign in well-populated areas. But, because of the electoral college, they only campaign in the battleground states, while the vast majority of states are virtually ignored.
I already signed an online petition urging Trump electors to switch their votes to Clinton so that the will of the American people will prevail. But I doubt anyone who supported Trump would be patriotic enough to give America back to the people.
