I fully agree with Dr Frank’s analysis. In addition, I want to say I was saddened and angry that UK Premier Theresa May agreed on a major defence deal to help develop fighter jets for the Turkish air force when she met President Erdogan on her trip to Turkey.

Making business deals, especially military ones, with a very oppressive and semi-dictatorial government is simply shameful. I am sure May is well aware that Turkey under Erdogan has been moving further and further away from democratic values and also from secularism, especially in the last three years or so.
