Love smiles on star couple
Aisoon Wathayanon, a popular singer and actor in the early 1990s, and actress Saitharn Niyomkarn, who came into the entertainment business later, were once an item.
The actress recently mentioned that the two had dated 20 years ago and that the fire between them had started flickering again.
Aisoon is now 50 and Saitharn is 41.
Saitharn was at the opening of the series “Princess Hour Thailand”, a remake of South Korean drama, when journalists caught up with her and asked about the burgeoning romance. She was happy to answer, explaining that she was in her early 20 when the first went out together but split when Aisoon went to study overseas and hadn’t seen each other since.
She then started dating the late actor Apichart Puapimon meanwhile. Aisoon married twice but both relationships ended in divorce. Then late last year, Aisoon called her up and asked if he could see her on her birthday, January 2. “Actually I didn’t want to meet him because I didn’t know what was on his mind. But he continued to get in touch and after updating each other on our lives, we started dating,” she told reporters.
Their relationship developed and popped into the public eye when they posted a sweet picture of them together on Instagram. The photo was taken on Aisoon’s birthday on March 2.
“At our age, I don’t have high expectations in this relationship. However I do believe that when we are in love, the good feeling gives us positive power, and that drives us to do good things,” she says.
Aisoon entered the entertainment business as a model and went on to star in TV dramas and performed as one of the second generation singers in the classic band Grand Ex.
