Paul Smith pops up at Embassy
Clothing designer Paul Smith has an “Artist Stripe” pop-up shop on Level 1 of Central Embassy until May 24, where all of his creations – from trainers and ties to socks and swimsuits – wear stripes.
Covering the floor, plinths and walls of the installation, the Artist Stripe colours run through the space like a stick of Brighton rock.
As the newest in a long line of signature Paul Smith stripes, the Artist Stripe was inspired by the fantastic linear combinations of Expressionist paintings.
A regular feature of every Paul Smith collection since the autumn-winter 2016 line, Artist Stripe appears as an accent on shirt cuffs and jacket zip guards or as a bold all-over print on socks, ties and leather accessories.
Paul Smith collaborations are also available, including colourful Anglepoise lamps and Caran d’Ache pens.
