Two wheels on the hill

Two wheels on the hill

After the huge success of “100 Plus Cycling across the Sky to Fuji” in Japan last year, the carbonated soft drink brand is once again going biking.

The time the destination is New Zealand and rocker Atiwara “Toon Bodyslam” Kongmalai and rapper Apisit “Joey Boy” Opasaimlikit will be along for the ride, which is part of a new marketing campaign “Drink a 100 Plus Anywhere, Anytime”.

Participants will be delighted with the picturesque scenery as they take a leisurely 25-30-kilometre ride with the world renowned Mountain Cook as the backdrop and ride down the zigzag sealed road to Hayman Road to the shores of Lake Pukaki.

The trip also takes in a Shotover Jet ride along the famous Shotover River and deep into the spectacular Shotover River Canyons and a go on the Skyline Luge, a unique wheeled gravity ride that provides riders full control over their descent on a purpose-built track.

“Every route is amazing for its scenic highlights. These include the rugged terrain of Queenstown Hill, which overlooks the mountains and lakes of one of New Zealand’s most beautiful towns and the Aoraki Mt Cook, which is famous for its phenomenal mountain and lake views and its awesome adventure activities as well as the turquoise waters of Lake Pukaki,” says Toon Bodyslam.

“I love new experiences and was really excited to take the Shotover Jet. For the Luge Ride, we go up to the mountain by cable car then ride a go-cart down the hill. We would like everybody to take part in this exciting experience,” says Joey Boy.
