Tribute to a master of German film

The Thai Film Archive and Goethe Institut Thailand join up to celebrate the centenary of Germany’s leading UFA studio with a special programme.

“Fritz Lang:  the Master of Visual” features two film screenings and a talk and will be held on June 3 at the Sri Salaya Theatre, Thai Film Archive, Buddha Monthon Sai 5, Salaya, Nakhon Pathom.
The programme starts with the screening of Lang’s wellknown serial killer film “M”, which was released in 1931. That will be followed at 3pm by the biopic “Fritz Lang” (2016). The talk, which gets underway at 5, will be led by Nobert Grob, a German Film historian, film critic and the author of many books including “Fritz Lang: Ich bin ein Augenmensch”, “Filmgenre: Film Noir and Zwischen Licht und Schatten: Essays zum Kino”. 
The films will be shown in the original German with English and Thai subtitles. Fritz Lang’s movies will be also shown at the German Film Week which will be held at Paragon Cineplex from May 2328 and later at the Silent Film Festival, which will open with a screening of the newly restored Fritz Lang’s movie “Destiny” (1921). The festival will be held at Scala and Lido from June 814.
