Another soaking from the Hallyu wave

Another soaking from the Hallyu wave

The past few months have seen quite a parade of South Korea actors coming to Bangkok for fan meetings and the latest to sign up for the cause is Jo Jung-suk.

He’ll be in town for a meet and greet on the theme The Room next Sunday (July 2) at 2pm at the Ultra Arena Hall @ Show DC.
The 37-year-old actor started his career on stage and made his name in musicals, most notably the Korean version of “Hedwig and the Angry Inch”.
He made his film debut as a comedic supporting actor in the 2012 box office hit “Architecture 101” as the young hero’s best friend Nab-ddeuk, which earned him the Best New Actor prize at the Blue Dragon Film Awards. His versatility was further showcased by the television series “The King 2 Hearts (2012),” “You're the Best, Lee Soon-shin” (2013), “Oh My Ghost” (2015), and “Jealousy Incarnate” (2016).
The actor is particularly well regarded for his comedic timing in the last two series “Oh My Ghost” and “Jealousy Incarnate”.
In “Jealousy”, Jo played an announcer who was based in Bangkok for years and later falls for a weather announcer (played by Gong Hyo-jin). The part also allowed him the chance to show off his singing talent.
Tickets are priced at Bt4,200 and Bt2,800 and available at www.TheLimeThailand.com. For more information, visit Facebook.com/TheLimeThailand or call (094) 236 1648, (096) 149 9914 or (089) 365 2834.
