Out&About Muslim women on ‘dignity’
In the wake of this month’s big-bang opening of her “Patana Semasa” exhibition at Chiang Mai’s Mai Iam Contemporary Art, Keeta Isran is next month joining the all-women group show “Muslimah” (“The Way of Women”) at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre.
It features her work alongside that of fellow Muslims from the far South Nuratna Hawae, Nuriya Waji, Kusofiyah Nibuesa, Heedayah Mahavi and Arichama Pakapet. They address matters of duty, integrity, dignity, humility and faith.
The artists will be at the opening on Friday (August 4) at 4pm. See the “Delapaeartspace” page on Facebook.

Out&About This art’s not pop
Musician Preyawit Nilachulaka will display his talent as a painter in the exhibition “Siam Rangers” at the Subhashok Art Centre on Sukhumvit Soi 39 from August 10 to September 10. The singer for alt-pop band Palm of Instinct takes on the police and other authority figures in 20 vivid paintings and one sculpture.

Out&About Abstracts ‘decomposed’
Lutthapon Korkiatarkul’s debut solo show “(Un)composition” at the Ver Gallery on Narathiwat Ratchnakharin Road Soi 22 from August 5 to October 1 will see the artist explore the process of making art in his monochrome abstract paintings. Each one took four or five months to create, acrylic applied in multiple layers, with brush hairs and dust motes left in place, and the whole construction varnished over.

Check more details on the "Vergallery" page on Facebook.

Out&About Dusting off our memories
Thai artist Parinot Kunakornwong is coming home from London next month for his solo exhibition “Yes” opening at Cartel Artspace this Saturday at 6pm
Curated by Loredana Pazzini-Paracciani, “Yes” challenges not only the notions of memory and transformation, but also the “insignificant” and “worthless”, by juxtaposing the “dust”of our memories with those of a whole country.
The gallery is on Narathiwas Rachanakharin Soi 22 and the show runs through August 30.
