Music and crafts mark Mother’s Day

Show DC – the new landmark on Rama IX road – celebrates Mother’s Day all this month with several activities grouped together on the theme “Wonderful Mum”.

The activities kick off on Saturday (August 12) with a mini concert by Tata Young and continue the following day with a show by Wichayanee “Gam The Star” Pearklin and Nat Sakdatorn. On August 14, it will be a meet and greet with James Assarasakorn, aka James Ma, Rasri “Margie” Balenciaga, Pat Chatborirak, Wanmai Chatborirak, and Peerawat “Kris” Sangpotirat and Prachaya “Singto” Ruangroj of “Sotus The Series” while on August 27, Saharat “Kong Nuvo” Sangkapreecha and Jennifer Kim take the stage for plenty of nostalgic tunes.
The art exhibition, “Tharn Silp Sai Yai Haeng Wan Mae” is on display at Show Art Hall on the fourth floor and features more than 100 portraits by such artists as Supakit Uttaranakorn and Nap Sothipan of His Majesty the late King and Her Majesty the Queen, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun and other royal family members. In addition, guest artists from the Stream of Arts to Foster The Artists Foundation are hosting painting workshops.
Ajarn Pennueng and Man Karin will be on hand to tell fortunes on Saturday and Sunday respectively and there’ll be several workshops about brooch and cupcake making as well as silk screening for T-shirts and bags. Visitors can send a postcard to mother at the Walk of Frame on the ground floor. And everyone has the chance to win one of the two Iphone 7 Plus Gold mobile phones up for grabs.
