Run by women for women

The Iconic Women Alliance (IWA), a learning community of successful and happy women for a better society, has recently opened under the umbrella of Southeast Asia's Executive, Leadership and Innovation Capability Development Centre (SEAC).

“For people to make a positive impact on society, education alone does not suffice. In order for a person to succeed and make a difference, there needs to be lifelong learning. Therefore, we had an idea to encourage lifelong learning in Thailand and Asean. We initiated IWA as a community targeting women because women in Asean show high potential and already play imminent roles at work, at home, and in our society,” said Orapun Parapob, creative director of IWA.
“Research has shown that in Asia, there are more female executives than in other regions, which is great news. However, it is inevitable that bigger roles come with bigger expectations. Women today face a lot of stress and challenges, and therefore, development and support are more crucial than ever,” she added.
IWA is created to provide development related to women’s work and life. The activities will be organised under different topics, varying from week to week, so that the members can come mingle and exchange their experiences. They can choose to participate in any activity that suits their interest. There are four types of activities; speaking and networking, masterclasses for new skills, lifestyle workshop and mini-forum for small group discussion.
To become an IWA member, register online at www.IconicWomenAlliance.com. Entry fee is Bt9,900 and tickets are sold separately for each activity. IWA is located on the second and fourth floors of FYI Centre, Tower 2, Rama IV Road, Bangkok.
