Academics especially desperate to see Trump impeached

The hatred being expressed against President Trump is relentless, especially from the ivory towers of exquisite “academia”.
Sheriff Arpaio, a veteran with 45 years of public service, never acted outside the law in enforcing it to safeguard against illegal immigration. He is no racist and has in fact been praised by Latino Americans for upholding the law, particularly in his state of Arizona.
On the orders of president Barack Obama, he was indicted before a Criminal Court and denied a jury trial – as was his legal right.
Sheriff Arpaio was subject to the whim of a “kangaroo court”. President Trump then pardoned him, and rightly so. How could this act possibly be impeachable?
Different people may have different perspectives and interpretations, but the law remains the law. Even Harvard academics like Noah Feldman, who wrote the column referred to above, can be wrong on the subject.
