Public space design contest launched

Conwood is encouraging students to come up with creative and attractive designs for public spaces by launching the “Conwood 9 Square Metre Design Contest 2017”.

The winners start to be rewarded with prize money and construction grant worth Bt100,000 as well as certificates.
Contestants must propose a design that uses Conwood fibre cement in the design, decor, or furnishing.
The 9sqm space for public use must be functional and interesting, and can be located inside a public park, hospital, school, university, temple, or historical place.
Ten contestants will be selected to join a workshop with specialists before advancing to the final round, and only one winner will receive the trophy, prize money, certificate, and construction grant in order to turn the design into a reality. The first and second runners up will take home prize money, a trophy and a certificate.
Contestants must be university students in architecture, product design, or related fields, and each team must have three or less members. Each team can submit more than one design and applications are open through the end of October. There is no application fee.
