Remembering Chester Bennington

Remembering Chester Bennington

Show DC – the entertainment and retail mega-complex on Jaturatid Road – pays tribute to the late Chester Bennington, lead singer of American rock band Linkin Park, with the screening of the documentary, “In the Memories of Chester Bennington”, at its Studio 9 on Wednesday (September) 27 at 7.30pm.

The documentary is in two parts. The first is “The Making of Meteora” featuring moments behind the making of the band’s album that sold more than 800,000 copies in its first week. The second part is “Linkin Park Live in Texas”, which follows the band behind-the-scenes as they record their live album and their third video album. The audio version of the concert consists of 12 out of 17 tracks including “Reanimation” from their first remix album. At the end of “A Place For My Head”, Chester breaks Brad’s guitar, and Joe Hahn throws a piece of his equipment on the stage.
The main list includes songs from “Hybrid Theory” that was certified gold and sold more than 10 million copies. Considered an overwhelming success, most songs are about problems and the experiences of the band’s lead vocalist in his youth. Singles include “One Step Closer”, “Crawling”, “Papercut” and “In the End”.
As the second studio album, the band spent more than a year with the “Meteora”, which features successful singles like “Somewhere I Belong”, “Faint”, “Numb”, “From the Inside”, as well as the promotional single, “Lying From You”. In 2013, the album sold over 20 million copies worldwide and was ranked number 36 of the Billboard’s Top 200 Albums of the Decade.
The screening will be preceded by a talk session with Kittisak “Aey” Buaphan, the vocalist of rock band Ebola and Sweet Mullet’s singer Dulyakiet “Tao” Lertsuwankul. It kicks off at 7.10pm.
Admission is free but registration is required at www.RockOnRadio.fm or Facebook.com/RockOnRadio. Find out more at  www.showdc.co.th or www.facebook.com/showdc.co.th.
