Because we care

Because we care

Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel is once again raising funds for cancer research with the ninth edition of its annual fun run “Care for Cancer” at Lumpini Park on November 18.

The upcoming run, which is held in association with the Thai Red Cross and with the support of the Canadian Embassy and Thai-Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CanCham), has as its theme “I Care B’Coz…..” allowing supporters and participants to share and express how cancer touches our lives in different ways.
Both the 5km and 10km routes are perfect for running, walking or strolling at your own pace. Families with young children, or elderly relatives, are welcome to join the morning with various activities and prizes awaiting them. To add to the excitement, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit Trophy will be awarded to the largest participating group. The first male and female runners to reach the finish lines of the 5km and 10km will also win a prize. In honour of the children taking part, the youngest running participants will receive recognition. Registration is from 7.30 to 8.15am and the official starting time is at 8.30am.
A minimum donation of Bt350 is required for race participation, representing the cost of an official “Care for Cancer” t-shirt or Bt500 for a polo shirt, which also entitles you to a breakfast box and the chance to win exciting prizes such as accommodation vouchers at various Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas and many others. The proceeds will be donated to the Genetic Cancer Research Centre at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, under the auspices of the Thai Red Cross.
