A real man doesn’t need a gun to prove it
On the same day that the slaughter at the church in Texas occurred, I saw a thug from the National Rifle Association (NRA) being interviewed by Aljazeera television. He said more Americans are killed by fists than guns.
Brilliant argument! I suppose the 65-year-old man in Las Vegas who shot to death 58 people in a matter of minutes could have achieved the same results with his fists!
He then argued that Americans have a right to defend themselves. Yet the guns Americans have in their homes are 22 times more likely to kill a family member as a result of an assault, a suicide or an accident (especially if you have a child) than they are to kill an intruder in self-defence.
The NRA crowd are mentally ill people who believe playing with guns and hunting defenceless animals is what makes you a man. Of course a real man doesn’t need a gun to prove it.
