Fair pays tribute to the Princess Mother
The 20th exhibition “Remembering of…The Late Princess Mother” on the theme “Cultivate Forest, Cultivate People, Sustainability Way” encourages all Thais to embrace her noble demeanour and respond to her stated wish to drive the nation’s sustainable development.
The exhibition is being organised by Siam Piwat in conjunction with the Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage and Thai Beverage and runs through Sunday (November 19) in the Lifestyle Hall, of Siam Paragon.
It is divided into five sections: “Royal Mother from the Sky” “Compassion” “Cultivating People” “Growing Seedlings” and “Cultivating Forests” and also features DIY workshops, including an Urban Planting Workshop that encourages visitors to look after the environment by using recycled containers to plant small trees. The workshop is conducted by Sirikul “Pon” Suetorchart, an organic lifestyle guru and the author of “My Organic Life” and will demonstrate how to improve soil quality and grow herbs from seed.
Participants can also enjoy a variety of quality products specially created by artisans of the Mae Fah Luang Foundation. They include handicrafts, hand woven fabric, fine ceramics and decorative plants.
