Sex scandals are a sign of free media, open society
Re: “Washington’s dirty secret exposed: sexual bullying”, Have Your Say, yesterday.
Mr Chavalit expresses shock at all the sex scandals among US congressmen. But the reason we read about these things is that America has a free press against which no one, including the president of the United States, is “safe” from being exposed if they do wrong.
So while we have all these cry-babies whining about how the “fake news” is picking on poor Donald Trump (while never complaining about the repulsive bias of Fox News), in America we get to hear all points of views and then we can come to our own conclusions.
Of course such scrutiny of the people in power in Thailand is impossible under the current government.
