Dow Thailand turns 50

Dow Thailand recently celebrated its 50th anniversary in Thailand and the 30th anniversary of joint venture, the SCG-Dow Group with a party at the Athenee Hotel in Bangkok.

Andrew Liveris, chairman and chief executive of the Dow Chemical Company joined with Roongrote Rangsiyopash, president and chief executive of SCG and a joint venture partner of SCG-Dow Group, in welcoming Glyn T Davies, the US ambassador to Thailand.
The event was also joined by more than 400 distinguished guests from the public and private sectors including representatives of government agencies, associations, bankers and customers, such as Chatchai Luanpolcharoenchai, president of Dow Thailand and managing director of SCG-Dow Group, Jim McIlvenny, president of Dow Asia Pacific, Dr Atchaka Sibunruang, former minister of science and technology, and Cholanat Yanaranop, executive vice president of SCG and president of SCG Chemicals.
Since its establishment in 1967, Dow Thailand has become the largest production base of Dow in Asia Pacific.
Dow Thailand has taken immense pride in driving national development through contributing to economic growth, addressing needs of the industrial sector, forging sophisticated innovative products, evolving futuristic technologies, improving Thais’ quality of life, and stewardship of the Thai and global ecology for all sectors to grow together sustainably.
