Poll numbers on Prawit do not make a majority

Poll numbers on Prawit do not make a majority

In the 2011 election, the Pheu Thai Party won, getting 15,744,190 votes while the Democrat Party, the runner up and a misnomer, got 11,433,762.

Yet, the anti-Thaksin camp claimed that Pheu Thai lacked a mandate to govern. They reasoned that 15-million-plus votes out of the 67 million total population, about 23 per cent, was not a majority.
I want to use this same logic for General Prawit’s case. An online poll showed that about 70,000 voters, or 95 per cent of the total votes, wanted Prawit to resign. But 70,000 out of 67 million is a mere 0.1 per cent, a drop in the ocean, and is, therefore, negligible.
General Prawit is clear to stay. QED.
