Controversial THAI seat move

Controversial THAI seat move

Anybody with a 56-inch waist should go in the cargo hold.

Is this a subtle way of banning Prawit and Premchai?

And then Thai Airways wonders why it is losing money... Now I now at least one airline company that I will never ever fly direct to the United States .
I understand that Thai Airways likes to exude Thainess, but this is ridiculous. The days are long gone when Thai people were small, skinny and nimble, especially the ones that can afford a western diet.
And if the above picture displays a -very small looking- business class seat, I shudder to think what it will look like in coach....

Seriously, if your waist is over 56 inches, I think you should be getting some exercise and not blaming the airline.

This is only the beginning. The next big thing will be charging air fares by passenger weight. A few airlines are already doing it.

If you’re losing your hair, not your fault.
If you’re ridiculously tall, not your fault.
If you’re horribly overweight, it is your fault. You’re not “unlucky”. You are simply putting too many calories in your body and not burning enough. I’d love to be able to eat what I want when I want but I can’t. So I don’t.
Sure, some of us are
naturally more slender, etc,
but these scientific laws apply to all of us.

I had to sit at an angle, leaning out into the aisle, all the way from Narita, Japan to Rochester, New York, once because of the girth of the
guy next to me caused him to overlap both arm rests. He was a nice guy but there just wasn’t enough room for his bulk in one seat. Of course, there  wasn’t a spare seat anywhere in the plane.
I believe the airlines should make it clear that wide-load passengers must buy two seats so they have room to spread out. If they arrive without having two seats reserved, then they should have to buy a second seat at a premium price or go on standby for the next available flight with enough room for them.
