Poisonous insults not a formula to solve spy poisoning puzzle

Poisonous insults not a formula to solve spy poisoning puzzle

Re: “Who had good reason to attack the Salisbury spy?”, Have Your Say, March 24.

Robin Grant’s conclusion that Theresa May has no logical reason for poisoning the Russian spy is just as valid as my explanation that was echoed by the spokesman of the Kremlin: “Skripal, zero interest for Russia.” The difference between my letter and Robin’s, and Dr Frank’s for the same matter, is that those two are not capable of accepting a different view without feeling the need to insult the writer to prove their point, and lacing their letters with pedantic language as if it proves them smarter in matters of politics.
As for Khun Somsak’s letter – “A lover, not a fighter (or a peacemaker)” – I did not imply that Donald Trump was a peacemaker in general, but at least regarding North Korea, he is trying for a peaceful solution. Somsak also suggests John McCain is a hero. Wasn’t he once seen in the White House giving an award to ISIS’s leader in Libya Abelhakim Belhadj?
