Hooters busting out
Bangkok’s newest branch of Hooters on Silom Road (corner of Soi Thaniya) will have its soft opening from May 14-18 and a big blast on May 19.
Chicken wings, crazy-creative cocktails and the pretty wait staff vie for attention served with dozens of high-definition TV screens beaming in sports from around the world. The first 100 customers get free wings for a year. Check out the “hooters bangkok-silom” Facebook page.
Cirque du Soleil at Impact
Cirque du Soleil’s “Toruk: The First Fight”, a live multimedia stage production based on James Cameron’s film “Avatar”, will be at Impact Arena from June 14 to 24.

Tale of two, three genders
Museum Siam’s latest exhibition, “Chai Ying Sing Sommuti: Gender Illumination”, will be on view from May 18 to September 30, examining the variety of sexual characteristics that encompass more than “male” and “female” representations in birth gender and societal expectations. Arthit “Bank” Tangwibulpanich, Pitipon “Tle” Porntrisat, Mookda “Mook” Narinrak and Sirin “May” Kohkiat – the stars of the TV drama “Panthakan Rak” – will be meeting fans at Chatuchak Market tomorrow at 4.30pm. Lukthung on the road
The Looktung Network is taking its free music festival “Looktung Sanjorn” to Nongbua Lamphu’s Suwannakhuha District on Sunday.
In the lineup will be Jintara Poonlarp, Petch Saharat, OeAe Pojana, OA Duo, Duangta Thongthong, Te Watchasan, Sriprai Japetch and Busaba Duanpen, plus DJs Pooky and Nong Wichai.
