World Cup a chance for discovery

Russian Ambassador to Thailand Kirill Barsky has urged football fans nationwide to enjoy the 2018 Fifa World Cup, which his country is hosting, not only for the sporting excitement but also for the exciting insights into his country.
Formerly, I just wanted to cheer for my favourite national team, but this invitation inspires me want to know about Russia too.
I believe this invitation will also inspire football fans interested in knowing about Russia. This great festival is a good opportunity to present the story of Russian arts, culture, history and so on.
