All in one kitchen

All in one kitchen

Food delivery service foodpanda has launched the “Kitchen Project”, a popup kitchen where foodpanda’s restaurant partners are invited to cook in a shared kitchen.

Called “Krua by foodpanda”, the idea aims to be more responsive to market demand and to increase business opportunities for restaurant partners.
“Krua by foodpanda” is an open-space kitchen where foodpanda’s restaurant partners can cook food in a kitchen kitted out with basic utensils.
It combines seven popular restaurants under one roof based in The Curve Neighborhood Center, OnNut – CaliMex, Dressed, Hunter Poke, Kah Moo Mengjai (Braised pork leg), Elvis Suki, Yord Pad Thai and Gownun.
“The idea to open the kitchen in On-Nut is to bring more choice to foodpanda customers in the North of Bangkok because consumer demands and the number of restaurants are high in this area,” says Floris Bos, chief commercial officer of foodpanda Thailand.
“foodpanda uses a restaurant selection system to pick restaurants within 5 kilometres radius of our customers’ location. Then, we deliver to customers with a fixed delivery fee of Bt40. Therefore, customers located within On-Nut area will not be able to order restaurants located in Ratchathewi or Sathorn district. However, we are aware that Thai people have a soft spot for delicious food, that is why we relocated famous restaurants to this area such as Yord Pad Thai, which was originally in Rama IV,” he adds.
Krua will serve as the first kitchen project of the company, as foodpanda looks to roll out more kitchen projects across Bangkok in the near future.
Customers around the On-Nut area can spot restaurants under the “Krua by foodpanda” project by noticing “(Krua by foodpanda)” behind the restaurant names. Order your favorite dish via foodpanda application or www.FoodPanda.co.th/
