Foul play by clumsy hand of the editor
Re: “Israel would never have survived without Uncle Sam”.
My March 18 letter suffered at the hands of the editor.
In my original version I wrote that one area where Israel lags behind its competitors is sports. I stated that Israel has won few Olympic medals and made few appearances at international football tournaments. So I concluded that in the most important game of life (sports), Israel is woefully inept.
But the edited and published version of my letter stated that, “in the most important game – life, Israel has proven to be woefully inept”.
That is incorrect. I did not write this.
