UK sex-abuse scandal was hijacked for anti-Muslim propaganda

The scandal of the sex abuse of young girls by a gang of mainly British-Pakistani men in the English town of Rotherham was brought to wide public attention by several articles in the Times newspaper in 2011. Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, otherwise known as “Tommy Robinson”, attempted to hijack this issue for his own purposes, but it was the impact of the newspaper articles which finally galvanised the authorities into action. Subsequently there were numerous arrests and convictions, and several local council officials were removed from their posts. Political correctness in Britain delayed justice, but did not pervert it.
As regards Nigel Pike’s attempt to correct my correction of comments made by JC Wilcox regarding new charges brought against Yaxley-Lennon, the judge presiding over the case has said the reasons for bringing these new charges would be explained at a later date. Consequently, claims that Yaxley-Lennon is being charged with causing anxiety to the gang rapists are nothing more than speculation.
