The highlight of the collection is the detailed and colourful print patterns and elaborate embroidery by expert dressmakers over the past 18 years of experience, the brand said in statement.
“We intended to design our 2020 collection with the vibes of Greek civilisation through the story of an archaeologist who explored Greece in the summer holidays,” said managing director Mollika Ruangkritya, explaining the signature Spring/Summer 2020 collection. “We have created outfits and accessories to identify the ancient Greece civilisation gracefully, with print patterns on fabric, chains, gold medals and vases, plus colourful tropical flowers such as Bougainvillea printed on silk fabric offering a comfortable, silky touch.
“Our highlight items in this collection include printed shorts that pair with hoodie tops to provide an edgy look, swimwear to pair with loose pants or a ‘muumuu’ dress to give that fashionista vibe, and a day to night cocktail dress. We have also matched these with gorgeous accessories to complete the look with gold or silver earrings or necklaces that can be paired with any dress and a sombrero or safari hat.”
According to the brand, The Hidden Treasure collection tells the story of a summer holiday voyage, helping “Kloset ladies” experience the glorious history and culture of the Greek-Roman empire in combination with outstanding architecture and beautiful scenery.
The collection includes jackets, cargo pants and safari costumes, “suitable for ladies who look for convenience inspired by an archaeologist’s uniform, along with detailed embroidery in the form of vases and olive leaves to add outstanding elements to this collection”. Customised gold medal buttons enhance the luxury vibe and special knitted crochet adds interesting details.
Meanwhile, the selection offers an interesting colour palette, bringing out “the exquisite nature of summertime in Greece as key colour tones for this season, such as bright blue from the sky and the sea, fuchsia and tangerine orange from the beautiful shade of the bougainvillea flower, including yellow in pastel and warm tones and brown.
The selection is on sale at Kloset’s five branches – Siam Centre, Siam Paragon, Central Chidlom, Emporium and Central Lad Prao, or online at www.klosetdesign.com.
