Pak Klong Talad, or Bangkok Flower Market, in Phranakhon district gets busy as early as 4am, as soon as the night curfew -- from 10pm to 4am -- ends.

The curfew is part of government efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19. The curfew was announced in early April and will be in effect until April 30.

Merchants set up their stalls with fresh flowers, flora-related items, vegetables, fruits and cooked foods before customers pour in soon after the curfew hour.
Pak Klong Talad has seen a big increase in early morning visitors as many people who could not buy their supplies at night due to the curfew head to the market as soon as it opens at 4am.

It remains to be seen whether the government will lift the curfew on April 30 or extend it to keep the contagion in control.
