On Sunday morning the Thai Maritime Enforcement Command Centre received a report that a fishing boat with a crew of seven had capsized in the sea about 76 kilometres east of Songkhla's waterway.
Upon receiving the report, a task force was sent out to provide assistance. During the initial operation, a helicopter located four crew members floating in the sea. They were safely lifted on board and transported to the Navy Base Airport in Songkhla.
Later, one more crew member was found floating and rescued. However, two crew members remain missing.
