Bangkok becomes a global stage as the 28th Bangkok International Festival of Dance and Music brings 12 major productions from nine countries to the Thailand Cultural Centre from September 5 to October 17.

The programme spans ballet, opera and contemporary performance, featuring Romeo & Juliet, Cinderella, Russian Hamlet, Coco Chanel, The Great Gatsby, La Traviata, Madama Butterfly and New York City Opera’s Thailand debut.

Modern highlights include Murmuration Level 2, Deborah Colker Dance Company’s RITE and a circus-dance reimagining of Alice in Wonderland, rounding out six weeks of international performing arts.
