Ahead of the vote for PM later today, Deputy House speaker Padiphat Santipada visited the areas around the Parliament building that are closed off to demonstrators.

Police have set up containers as defence lines in the area around Parliament along with barbed wire on sky bridges, and put water cannons in place.

Padiphat said that the measures implemented are overly tight and would just make matters more tense, adding that the right to protest is a fundamental freedom.
