Experts call for faster climate action in Thailand

At The Nation’s Sustainable Thailand roundtable, speakers stressed that poorer rural communities and other vulnerable groups face greater difficulty in adapting and recovering, while climate adaptation continues to lag behind mitigation.

Speakers called for progress on Thailand’s Climate Change Act, better use of data, faster disaster response and stronger support for vulnerable people. Their message was clear: resilience must mean helping communities adapt, recover and retain control over their lives.
