Comedians, showbiz celebrities and former prime ministers have done it.
Now, it is the turn of a senior banker and a media veteran to take to the stage together – for an unprecedented talk show.
Banthoon Lamsam, chief executive officer and president of Thailand’s leading commercial institution, Kasikornbank, and Suthichai Yoon, chairman of Nation Multimedia Group, were preparing for what was billed as the Kingdom’s first “creative talk show”.
Their talk show, entitled “What Would Steve Jobs Do With AEC?”, is scheduled to take place tomorrow evening at the Centara Grand Hotel at Central World.
Suthichai and Banthoon will discuss what Thai businesses and people should do in preparation for the arrival of the Asean Economic Community in 2015. They refused to discuss the details of their joint talk show when rehearsing for the event yesterday.
“A few years ago, I asked [Banthoon] to hold a talk show together. He said we should avoid political issues. Now the time is right because there are many interesting issues about [late Apple founder] Steve Jobs, the global and European economic problems, and the AEC,” Suthichai said.
