Satan-worshipper turns himself in on murder charge
A self-proclaimed Satan-worshipper turned himself in on Tuesday to face charges of murdering a musician on January 9, Bangkok police chief Pol Lt-General Camronwit Toopgrajank said yesterday.
Prakan Hanpan, 26, who was accused of fatally stabbing Sam-ong Triasattha 30 times, told police that it was in self-defence. Sam-ong, 36, was the lead singer of a black metal band called “Surrender of Divinity”.
In his testimony, Prakan said that the two started fighting at a drinking party because the victim insulted the suspect’s beliefs.
He claimed that Sam-ong then held a kitchen knife at him and ended up getting stabbed in the struggle.
