Two workers were injured in a massive fire that started at the 10-megawatt biomass power plant of Saraff Energies in Krabi's Khao Phanom district at 4am yesterday.
The blaze began when a pile of dried branches of palm fruit caught fire and it took 10 fire engines more than four hours to control the blaze. The damage was estimated at about Bt100 million.
The plant, which supplies electricity to the Provincial Electricity Authority, is owned by an Indian businessman.
