PM orders revision of foundation regulations
Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha revealed yesterday he had instructed the Public Health Ministry to revise regulations for the Thai Health Promotion Foundation's spending so they are clearer.
His order followed an initial report into the foundation’s alleged misuse of budget and conflicts of interest in some projects.
The premier said legal experts were scrutinising ThaiHealth, following findings by the Monitoring and Auditing Committee on Fiscal Expenditure on the foundation’s spending. Prayut said foundation executives would be punished if it was deemed that funds were mismanaged and spent on wrong purposes.
