	More than 400,000 people are living with HIV in Thailand at present. Globally, it is estimated 34 million people have the virus.</div>

	According to UNAIDS, New HIV infections have been reduced by 35 per cent since 2000 and AIDS-related deaths have been reduced by 42 per cent since the peak in 2004.</div>
