Triam Udom Suksa is again one of the most popular schools in the country judging by the number of entrance applications filed on the first day of the application period.
A total of 4,403 students applied to the school on March 20, the first day that state schools across the country started accepting applications for the 2016 academic year. Applications will continue to be accepted until March 24.
“Triam Udom Suksa School has just 1,480 seats available,” Anon Sukpakkit, director of the Bangkok’s Secondary Education Service Area 1 Office, said yesterday.
Established in 1937, Triam Udom Suksa offers tuition only for senior secondary students. It is widely seen as an excellent school by students from across the country, with many Mathayom 3 graduates applying for admission.
Other popular schools in Bangkok include Yothinburana, Debsirin, Samsenwittayalai and Satriwittaya schools. They received 764, 632, 633 and 489 applications respectively on the first day of the application period.
