Rajavithi Hospital evacuates critical patients

Rajavithi Hospital evacuates critical patients

Eighteen patients in a critical state were moved yesterday from Bangkok's Rajavithi Hospital to Hua Hin Hospital in Prachuap Khiri Khan province after the Flood Relief Operations Centre announced that nine districts in the capital were at risk of deluge.

As a precaution, some 30 off-road trucks and ambulances from Ruam Katanyu and Por Tekteung foundations started transporting patients from yesterday afternoon. The operation should be completed by today. The patients will be accommodated at Ban Pong, Photharam, Ratchaburi and Hua Hin hospitals.
Dr Niran Chantrakul, director of the Hua Hin Hospital, said 31 beds had been prepared for the evacuees in the main building’s fifth floor. The 200-bed Hua Hin Hospital currently has about 350 in-patients due to the floods.
